World Diversity Leadership Summit to Host Three-Day Conference

, 06-10-2009

Washington
The 2009 theme for the World Diversity Leadership Summit (WDLS) is change in the U.S. and globally, and it will bring together leaders focused on the complex challenges and opportunities related to global diversity management. The summit will be held in Washington from Sept. 15-17 at the International Monetary Fund.

This year’s goals and objectives are to become the leading gathering of global diversity policymakers, experts and practitioners; to serve as the central source of global diversity strategy and best practices; and to establish global diversity management as a core academic vocation. Moreover, the 2009 World Diversity Leadership Summit focuses on exploring cutting-edge global diversity research topics and on establishing a global diversity collaboration network of policy makers, experts and practitioners.

“We are facing global warming and global changes,” said conference founder Douglas Freeman, president/CEO of Virtcom Consulting. “The world is getting older. We are migrating from country to country and continent to continent. We are seeing changes at the crossroads of technology and people that we have never seen before. So with our conference, the World Diversity Leadership Summit celebrates the changes and brings together some of the world’s greatest minds,” said Freeman.

The three-day summit will host diversity leaders from all around the world and address the key diversity challenges, trends and opportunities facing multinational corporations. This summit will explore innovative global diversity solutions.

The conference will cover relevant topics such as cutting-edge global diversity best practices and case studies, as well as diversity legislative frameworks in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America. Participants will learn how organizations build and implement global diversity strategies, while networking with key diversity executives, leaders and experts from around the world.

WDLS corporate sponsors include as title sponsors Walt Disney, Hilton Hotels and Sovereign Bank. Additional sponsors include Adecco, Arrow Electronics, National Grid, EMC, Enterprise, DNG, DLA Piper and Comerica.

In addition, the 2009 Diversity Leadership Award will be given to special honorees during a special Diversity Awards luncheon and CEO Roundtable.
